Troubleshooting

So I went to get a collection of short stories and poems copyrighted only to discover that the U.S. copyright office has been shut down due to lack of funding. As you can imagine, I am very annoyed about this. I am also confused as to how there is lack of funding even though the U.S. borrows money all the time and we are in massive debt because of it. Not only that but they keep raising taxes.

I guess I'm just butthurt that I cannot safely publish the collection. Oh well, hopefully the copyright office reopens soon.

Something else I discovered, as I was researching about the copyright office, is that the government has shut down. Again. I'm going to blame the fact that I was unaware of this on the fact that I don't read or watch the news because it both infuriates me and makes me depressed.

Hopefully everything is up and running again soon. Once the copyright office is open, I will work on publishing my collection of short stories and poems with you!
